Rare Hans Bergström Brass Table Lamp, Model 732, Ateljé Lyktan, Sweden, 1940s
-
Description
This rare table lamp was designed by Hans Bergström in the late 1940s. Designated as model 732, it was produced by Ateljé Lyktan in Åhus, Sweden, and is documented in the Ateljé Lyktan reference book.
The charming three-legged base is made of matte brushed brass, which has developed a beautiful, natural patina over time. Each leg ends in a circular, knob-style foot. The slightly tapered shade has been renewed in an ivory-colored, silk-textured fabric.
The lamp is in overall very good condition. It has been rewired with a new gold-colored cord and light switch, and the bulb fitting has also been replaced. It currently features a 220V European plug and a standard E26/E27 socket.
Specified dimensions: Total height including shade: 37 cm / 14.57 in Height of the base only (excluding shade): 28 cm / 11.02 in Diameter of the shade: 15 cm / 5.91 in Width and depth of the base only: 14×12.5 cm / 5.51 × 4.92 in
