Pair of Floor Lamps by Inger Persson for Rörstrand, Sweden 1960s

Inger Persson, a renowned Swedish ceramicist, began working for Rörstrand in 1959 at just 22 years of age. She then became a leading designer for the company, during a time when Swedish design was embracing both modernism and expressive craftsmanship. Much of her works feature a minimalist and functional form, with decorative details and high-quality materials, as these stoneware floor lamps exemplify.

This pair showcases the unique approach to lighting design that defined much of the decade’s Scandinavian aesthetic. In good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. The lamps have recently been rewired. The shades are a later replacement.
