Pair French Midcentury Art Deco Brass & Leather Desk/ Table Lamps, Jacques Adnet
-
Description
An Elegant and Timeless Pair of French Mid-Century Modern late / Art Deco table or desk lamps in solid brass with the stems delicately wrapped in black leather. The lamps are attributed to Jacques Adnet circa 1930 -1935 and are emblematic of the French Art Deco period. They express the highest levels of French design aesthetics, detailing and craftsmanship. The pure lines and form of the lamps creates a pure design statement. The leather wrapped stems rest on exquisite round brass bases with minimalist switches integrated into the bases. The leather stems angle upward and support round brass shades and fastened by delicate brass hardware. The inside of the shades are enameled white and hold brass hardware and sockets. The pieces originated from a small French workshop with limited production and having a pair is a rarity.
Priced and sold as a pair. Please inquire on pricing for a single piece. -
