Signed Jacques Vidal French Mid Century Wrought Iron floor lamp 1967
-
Description
This sophisticated floor lamp was created just one year before Jacques Vidal would go on to form the celebrated lighting design firm Verre Lumière with Max Ingrand in 1968. In this way, this piece can be viewed as a precursor of what was to come. But even taken alone, this lamp is striking: Shiny black iron is the sole material, forming the tripod base, the thick chain tube. A rare find, this piece is a gorgeous example of French mid-century modernism.
