Description
These pendants give off the greatest glow! The starry perforations really make it look like the light is radiating from the inside (hard to describe but so wonderful IRL). Each pendant is a different height and can be adjusted as needed. The almunimum shades are painted a beautiful grey color - not too warm not too cold, just right. The outer finish is in great shape, though the metal itself has imperfections and the lacquered interior has some scratches and marks, but this is what I love about vintage lighting - character. Designed in 1947, this is one of Lisa's most iconic forms & great example of her perfect way to light a space. It gets dark in Finland, but you will feel so warm under the glow of this lamp cluster.
As-Is Overall Height: 54" / Shades 10.25" Diameter x 11.5" H / Canopy 5.5" H, short stem is 11" Long Stem spans 21"
Lisa Johansson-Pape (b. 1907 d. 1989): One of Finland's most innovative lighting designers, using war-time rations she mixed materials and created shapes that brought her designs worldwide fame. "A lamp is not the actual purpose, but more like an instrument. It must fulfill its purpose as a provider of light, but at the same time, it must also satisfy the aesthetic demands. A good light fixture must be simple, and its structure and function must be both neat and correct." -
