Description
This rare floor lamp was produced by Möllers Armaturer in Eskilstuna, Sweden, in the 1950s. The lamp is marked with the manufacturer’s initials, M.A.E., and ‘Eskilstuna’ on the underside of the base.
The striking design consists of a thick, circular base and a central stem in black-lacquered metal. The stem is adorned with brass elements and a tapered handle made of solid teak wood. Two arms, which curve angularly and extend vertically upwards, are positioned at different heights, giving the piece a playful and dynamic character. The original pleated, geometric lantern-style shades are crafted from a burgundy-colored fabric.
The lamp is in very good original condition overall. The black-lacquered finish shows only minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. The original fabric shades have minimal, non-distracting marks. It is currently wired with a 220V European plug. -
