Bronze and crystal floor lamp by Sabino 1930’s
-
Description
The craftsmanship of lighting designer Marius-Ernest Sabino and the crystal quality of la Cristallerie de Sèvres have come together in this unique Art Deco floor lamp. Bronze and iron form its formidable, vertical structure that draws the eye upward—your gaze follows the innovative mix of materials, typical of the period, to rest eventually on the icicle-shaped sconces. Crimped metal is the funky base, which is offset by the sleek, rectilinear bronze bar that’s banked by transparent glass. The top of the lamp, arguably the most interesting section, displays smooth, curved iron and features seven beautiful sconces. The light created by the piece is warm and inviting, as the light’s refracted through the translucent, spiraled glass of each sconce. This floor lamp is a true Art Deco stunner and is found in very good vintage condition.
