Description
Paavo Tynell for Lightolier rare and exquisite brass eight-light 'Ballerina' chandelier, Canada, circa 1958. This classic Scandinavian Modern chandelier has eight elegantly curved brass arms each holding signature perforated brass shades, and mounted to a circular brass ring center with central brass spiral decoration, and hung from original brass canopy. More often seen as enameled or painted shades, this Ballerina brass version is much more rare. This extraordinary chandelier is in very good original condition with not much wear throughout and a lovely patina to the brass.
