Pair of Mid-20th Century Burgundy Red Ceramic Chinoiserie Heron Table Lamps

Striking pair of decorative table lamps featuring sculptural deep burgundy-red porcelain bodies in elegant baluster forms. Each rounded body is beautifully decorated with a hand-rendered motif of white herons or cranes, creating a refined chinoiserie-inspired aesthetic against the rich burgundy ground.

Each porcelain body features a gracefully tapered neck leading to a subtly flared collar and rounded shoulder, with metallic brass-toned accents at the rims and feet providing a warm contrast to the richly colored porcelain.
The combination of the sculptural porcelain forms, dramatic burgundy coloration, and delicate white bird decoration gives this matching pair a distinctive mid-20th-century decorative character. Their elegant proportions and versatile color palette make them particularly well suited for placement on a pair of end tables, bedside tables, consoles, or other furnishings in a traditional, chinoiserie-inspired, or eclectic interior.

Each lamp measures approximately 31 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter. Each shade measures approximately 14 inches long by 10 inches in top diameter and 16 inches in bottom diameter. The pair is in good condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use. One of the lamps has a small crack at the top of the ceramic body, as shown in the photographs.
