Description
An exceptional "Minerva" lantern pendant light designed by acclaimed American architect Robert A. M. Stern and manufactured in the United States by Remains Lighting, one of the most respected names in bespoke architectural lighting.
This sophisticated architectural pendant showcases Stern’s signature balance of classical proportion, modern geometry, and timeless American design. The frame is meticulously fabricated in solid brass and finished in a luxurious polished nickel plating, paired with a beautifully hand-crafted clear cylindrical glass shade. Three elegantly curved square-section arms rise from a central polished sphere, forming the iconic Minerva silhouette while supporting the outer ring and hand-formed glass cylinder.
Suspended within the glass enclosure is a sculptural three-light candelabra cluster, echoing the geometry of the outer frame and creating a dramatic interplay of reflection, transparency, and architectural form. Each glass cylinder exhibits subtle variations, a testament to its hand-made craftsmanship.
This example was acquired directly from the Los Angeles Remains Lighting showroom and served as a designer floor sample, making it especially desirable for collectors, interior designers, architects, and those furnishing luxury residences, penthouses, entry halls, stairwells, powder rooms, boutique hospitality spaces, or sophisticated transitional interiors.
The fixture retains its original manufacturer label and is dated 12/28/2018, confirming authenticity and provenance.
A highly sought-after piece that blends American modernism, neoclassical architecture, luxury lighting design, polished nickel, hand-blown glass, bespoke craftsmanship, and collectible designer lighting.
Measurements:
34.00 inches total height
12.00 inches diameter
24.00 inches pendant body height (to top loop)
6.00 inches canopy diameter
An exceptional opportunity to acquire an authentic Robert A.M. Stern for Remains Lighting Minerva lantern, ideal for collectors of designer lighting and design professionals seeking statement architectural illumination. -
