Description
The lovely shape of the twisted Murano glass and the pink that slightly tends to red as soon as the lamp is turned on is an experience in itself. The technique used to create this lamp is called Sommerso Oro. It is a technique in which blown glass objects are given multiple layers. These layers usually have different colors and the effect is achieved by dipping the object several times in molten glass of different colors. This produces very thick and heavy glass objects. Sommerso literally means 'immersed'.In addition to the attractive combination of the transparent glass and the pink-red core, it is also gold-stranded or gold-corded. The gold particles are diffusely spread over the foot and are located between the colored core and the transparent outer layer.
Condition
The condition of the lamp is very good, although the shade hasn’t really stood the test of time. The shade is of course easy to replace. The socket is of the E27 type. -
