Description
This exceptional pair of table lamps was produced by AB Stilarmatur Tranås in Sweden in the 1960s.
The design is distinguished by the high-quality, partially clear glass base, which features a circular, slightly tapered form with an organic dimple shape on top. Crafted using a blend of intricate techniques such as engraving and cutting, the base showcases a dynamic interplay of textures visible through the transparent glass. Rising from the glass is the elegant, elongated column, crafted in rosewood. Its lively, natural grain adds warmth and an organic texture that beautifully contrasts the cool, structured look of the glass. The tapered cone shades have been renewed in an ivory, linen textured fabric, offering a pleasant and soft light distribution.
The lamps are in very good condition, rewired and currently with 220V European plugs. The rosewood with a natural patina, the wood on one of the two bases is slightly lighter, but not really noticeable unless placed closely next to each other. Standard E26/E27 bulb fittings. One of the fittings with the Stilarmatur Tranas label.
Specified dimensions: Total height (including shade): 68 cm / 26.77 in Height of the base only (excluding shade): 44 cm / 17.32 in Diameter of the fabric shade: 20 cm / 7.87 in (measured at the widest, bottom part) Diameter of the glass base: 13 cm / 5.12 in -
