A Swedish Gustavian period sofa bench from the 18th century, hand-scraped to the original paint, and newly upholstered in linen, circa 1780. Baluster back and sides with carved acathus leaves, quiloche carving on the back and seat frame, and carved acathus leaf finials with rosettes on the corner posts.
