Description
Art Deco Daybed, Newly Upholstered in Stonewashed Linen, 1930s
This stunning 1930s Art Deco daybed shows wonderful proportions. It is well sized, with sturdy legs and elegant feet. The characteristic copper nails make a nice detail. Overall the design is basic and sincere, the straight lines and modest details are typical for the Art Deco era. An original detail shows in the blackened feet, that nicely contrast to the naturally aged solid oak frame. An elegant cylindrical headrest nicely finishes the piece, adding great comfort. This piece has been completely reupholstered, which includes a fully renewed high quality interior and foam. The wonderful fabric used is a patinated 100% linen, specifications can be found here below. Its color is warm and earthly, timeless and of great quality.
The daybed has a pleasant size and a luxurious appearance, making it an elegant element in any modern or contemporary interior.
Dimensions: W. 176 x D. 76 x H. 44 cm
Upholstered in: Designs of the Time - Baldemar YP21013.
The beautiful patina is achieved by stonewashing the 100% linen fabric. The stonewashing process uses small white stones tumbled with the fabric to soften it, creating an irregular and unpredictable surface interest, enhancing the body of the fabric. Weighing 750 grams per square metre, this quality is inherently soft, yet strong.
Note that the daybed in the listing has sold. We have the same daybed in our collection, which will be reupholstered the same way when ordered. Also custom upholstery is possible, feel free to reach out for more information. - More Information
