Description
Throughout Scandinavia, there's a long history of pride in craftsmanship which is especially true of Denmark and one of its most reputable furniture makers, Fritz Hansen, of which this piece is in the manner of.
This sofa has a streamlined appearance, where sections flow into each other smoothly, thanks to the exquisite craftsmanship. The sheepskin upholstery enhances this effect and highlight the gentle curves of the arms and of the backrest. The sofa is decorated with two horizontal lines of button tufting that give depth to the design. The tapered legs pair well with the upholstery and balance out the curved edges of the body. Ideal for any space, as the design utilises size in a smart and stylish manner. Furthermore, the “form follows function” principle is maintained, therefore this model creates a cosy atmosphere while offering plenty of functional surface as well. In Danish design, pieces are made to last rather than to be routinely replaced, because the home is meant to enhance an unburdened lifestyle. Living well is in itself a form of art, and the furnishings of the home are supposed to complement it. This sofa serves that purpose in an elegant and comfortable manner, bringing the beauty of mid-century Danish design to modern interiors.
Crafted with precision and finished with attention to detail and care for the aesthetic dimension, this sofa stands the test of time thanks to both its visual and material quality.
