Description
Luigi Caccia Dominioni was born in the Lombard capital in 1913. Much of his education takes place at the Jesuits, and then he enrolls in the Faculty of Architecture, at the Politecnico. Here Dominioni came into contact with many of the brightest minds who would design Italy's design avant-garde: first, he had Luigi Moretti and Piero Portaluppi as his teachers, already the authors of important works in Rome and Milan, then he met the exponents of the future BBPR group. With the Castiglioni brothers he will open a professional studio, after graduating and qualifying.
After the war he founded a new design and architecture firm with the Marquis Porro and the Brizzi family, followed by Azucena di Caccia Dominioni, Ignazio Gardella, and Corrado Corradi, a project that succeeded in developing numerous award-winning objects, furniture, and furnishings.
Here we have a beautiful sofa with lacquered plywood, brass and padded fabric, designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for a private residence in Montecarlo, produced by Azucena.
In very good condition, fully original and ready to be shipped. -
