Description
This rare set consisting of two armchairs and a matching stool were produced by a Danish cabinetmaker in Roskilde in the mid 1950s. The design of the armchairs is marked by the slightly reclined, wing shaped back with buttoned upholstery details. The organically curved arms are executed in solid oak wood with the armrests in teak wood. The four tapered legs are in solid oak as well, with the back legs placed at angle, pointing outwards. The single matching stool in a rectangular shape with tapered legs in oak. This beautiful Scandinavian Modern design is visually striking from all angles, making it ideal for central placement in a room.
The set has been completely restored and reupholstered. The ivory wool and linen bouclé fabric is by Lelièvre Paris. The thin, rhythmic stripes of the fabric bring beautiful depth and offer a nice contrast with the oak wood. -
