A pair of French Louis XVI style painted wood bergères à oreilles from the 19th century, with carved ribbon motifs and upholstery. Created in France during the 19th century, each of this pair of bergères features a wingback topped with a carved ribbon, flanked with petite finials adorning the upper twisted rail. The two arms, providing convenient privacy to the sitter, showcase scrolled extremities accented with acanthus leaves. The chairs are upholstered with a French fabric while their seats each comprises of a custom cushion. Raised on fluted legs with carved rosettes on the knees, the bergères present carved aprons. Painted in a soft color complimenting the classical lines beautifully, this pair of French 19th century Louis XVI style wingback bergère chairs will bring a touch of refinement to any living room or bedroom. The seats are 22" D x 18" H.
