Description
Two charming Finnish chairs from the early 19th century, in the Gustavian style. The chairs are from the same maker yet have very subtle differences on the back rest decorations. The decorative style adds a distinct Finnish country style to the Gustavian frame and structure. A beautiful rare feature that give the chairs extra charm and character.
The wooden frames have a soft grey painted finish, complemented with darker bluish grey seats.
The chairs have been restored and repainted while preserving the old characters of the chairs.
A lovely pair for a bedroom, hallway or living room, where their gentle colour and decorative backs would work beautifully alongside both antique and contemporary furnishings. -
