Description
A charming pair of “Kludestolen” lounge chairs designed by Bernt Petersen in Denmark during the 1960s–1970s. The chairs feature beautifully constructed pine frames with exposed joinery, canvas seat supports and their original removable cushions upholstered in a distinctive green checkered wool fabric.
The low, reclined profile and generously padded backrests and headrests provide excellent comfort, while the open construction gives the chairs a light and informal appearance. Despite their generous proportions, they are lightweight and easy to move. The removable upholstery covers also make cleaning and maintenance practical.
The combination of warm pine and green wool gives the pair a relaxed Scandinavian character that works equally well in modern, rustic or eclectic interiors.
The chairs remain in good original vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use. The original upholstery is well preserved, and the pine frames display an attractive natural patina. -
