This rare and stunning "Clos" dining/desk chair was realized by Vladimir Kagan- one of the most celebrated designers of the 20th century- in the United States, circa 1975. This chair represents a rare iteration of Kagan's iconic "Clos" chair featuring channel detailing on the seat, front and back. The chair offers a graphic silhouette with rectilinear translucent Lucite legs; and subtly concave back and streamlined detailing (seat and back (an homage to Art Deco design). Additionally, the chair is on castors, allowing it to be easily moved in any interior space. The Chair has been newly reupholstered in Holly Hunt melange upholstery offering a tight rectilinear weave in hues of onyx, java and taupe. The chair retains the original tags reading "Vladimir Kagan Designs Inc." Excellent Vintage condition.
