This credenza bears the makers mark of Alexandre Hugnet, "Hugnet Ameublements" St Antoine Paris, a renowned furniture manufacturer operating from Paris’s Faubourg Saint Antoine district, much valued for the quality and craftsmanship of his work. Stunning Credenza Sideboard having a shaped beveled marble top, gilt bronze & brass mounted adornment on Flame Mahogany, Walnut, & Satinwood marquetry with two frieze drawers over doors. Working locks both drawers and cabinet doors. In very good condition. France 1870-80
