Description
Dimensions: 108 ⅜” H x 94 ⅞” W x 21 ¾” D
A large 19th century French pine bibliotheque with its original white paint. The cornice juts out sharply from atop four fluted pilasters that span the height of the piece and frame its three sections. The cabinet doors retain their original locks and keys in working order. Most of the original antique glass is intact, with some panes having been replaced. Below the glass, raised panels line the lower portions of the doors. The spacious interior contains four adjustable shelves that run the width of the piece and are cut to mirror the cabinet’s silhouette. On the left and right ends, the shelves measure 13” deep while the middle portions are 16” deep. The shelves have been left unpainted, offering a nice contrast between the piece’s interior and exterior components. The cabinet sits atop a plinth base raised on square block feet. The cabinet is held together with iron bolts and could be disassembled for easier shipping. With its classic design, this substantial bibliotheque would be at home in a range of spaces and decorating styles. Gently cleaned and ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out with any questions. -
