Description
Mid century tiger maple secretary hand made by renowned cabinet maker Kurt Richenburg Hanover MA. Signed on back LeFort - Kurt Richenburg Hanover MA. A Chippendale Style Tiger Maple Secretary of the high quality finely crafted by master cabinetmaker. Chippendale Tiger Maple Secretary with flat molded cornice, two arch molded rectangular doors over letter cubbies and shallow shelves, two shallow drawers at bottom, candle pulls just below the doors; the lower case with molded receiver, molded breadboard end slant front with exposed pegs, concealing a beautifully fitted interior of drawers, valanced cubbies, shell carved center flanked by columns having storage pockets behind. Below are four molded edge graduated drawers, molded base, raised on ogee bracket feet. Desk area open is 20D x 34W x 29H leg room from floor to underside is 28.25. This piece is singed and numbered CM131 001 250. Working locks with keys.
