Up to two identical industrial-style vintage countertop chests of drawers or filing cabinets, dating from around 1910 to 1920, which were priced and sold per piece. Crafted by Lourié & Co, founded in 1899 in Vienna, Austria. These wooden cabinets feature ten drawers each, which are fitted with nice shell handles and charming card label holders. Additionally, each drawer has a wooden cover that flips open when pulled out. We believe these cabinets were originally used for archival storage of papers, files, or documents or as countertop storage furniture in haberdashery or stationery shops. Both cabinets are complete and in good condition. They have been carefully and professionally restored by a woodworking workshop, with special attention given to preserving the beautiful patina that has developed over more than 100 years. Please refer to the photos for further details. The cabinets can be used individually, placed side by side as a pair, or stacked on top of each other. We also believe they make particularly stylish nightstands.
