This 19th century French coffee table is an example of primitive craftsmanship, defined by its robust construction and sculptural simplicity. Resting on low, block-form supports, the thick, circular top is composed of joined oak sections, revealing subtle seams and a central aperture that suggests an earlier utilitarian purpose.

The oak surface displays a richly developed patina, marked by age, use, and natural irregularities. All our antique furniture has undergone a two-cycle preventive woodworm treatment for long-term care.
