Description
This mid-century modern dining table, designed by Forma in the 1970s in Brazil, is available today. Painted in black iron, with chromed metal accents and a 10 mm glass top, it is nothing less than spectacular.
The monumental table has two large legs made of iron tubes and is painted in black. The connecting rod is in chrome metal and the tabletop is made with 10 mm glass. The table is showcased in our gallery next to ten Joaquim Tenreiro tall chairs and the set looks nothing less than spectacular (images attached).
This gorgeous table would look great in any mid century modern, modern, contemporary environment used as dining or accent chairs.
Carlo Hauner (1927-1997) and Martin Eisler (1913-1977) were the primary designers for the iconic Brazilian furniture company Forma. They are most known for well-shaped armchairs made in iron, but the production is far more complex, handcrafted, and extensive. The wood pieces produced by Forma Móveis e Objetos de Arte during 1950 & 1960’s in Brazil are highly designed and well-executed.
Their narrative spans four countries (Italy, Austria, Brazil, and Argentina) and several decades and their exceptional works are already highly sought-after examples of the vibrant modern design movement in Latin America.
