Description
Dimensions: 19 ¾” H x 23 ⅝” W x 23 ⅝” D
A 19th-century French low gueridon bouillotte table. This timeless table design matches earlier bouillotte tables made for playing cards, but it scales down the proportions to coffee table size to fit a living room arrangement. The top is made from inset salmon-colored marble with stunning grey veining surrounded by a pierced brass gallery. The stone is in good condition with only minor surface scratches and etching, consistent with the table’s age and continued use. The base of the table is made from mahogany. Inside the brass-trimmed panels of the apron are two drawers that open with brass knobs. Two sliding panels pull out of the apron via brass ring pulls, and each one is lined with green leather stamped with a gold fleur-de-lis border. The table’s fluted tapered legs, a hallmark of the Louis XVI style, are capped with brass sabot feet. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos. Please view the detailed image gallery for the current condition or reach out with any questions. -
