Description
This very rare side table was produced by Lysberg, Hansen & Therp in Denmark in the late 1940s. Founded in Copenhagen in 1841, Lysberg, Hansen & Therp became one of Denmark’s leading furniture workshops of the 20th century, holding Royal Warrants to both the Danish and Swedish courts. The firm was known for combining fine materials with meticulous, hand-finished craftsmanship.
The graphic design is marked by a tripod base with three expressively curved, serpentine legs, attached to a central stem. The base is executed in brass, with a beautiful, age-appropriate patination throughout. The free-form, organic-shaped top has been covered in a cognac-colored leather, complementing the warm tone of the brass base.
The table is in very good condition, ready to be placed. Both the brass and the leather carry a natural patina consistent with age and use. -
