Description
This very rare side table was designed by Osvaldo Borsani and produced by Arredamenti Borsani Varedo, Italy, in the early 1950s.
The design is defined by its circular tabletop with a subtly raised edge running along the perimeter. The top is veneered in a richly figured rosewood, whose dramatic grain contributes to the table’s striking visual presence. The tabletop is supported by three elegantly raised legs executed in patinated brass, lending the piece a refined architectural balance and a sense of lightness. With its generous proportions, the table has a strong presence while remaining visually light. The table is in good original condition. The brass shows a natural, even patina throughout.
The tabletop presents minor signs of wear consistent with age and use, including small scratches and light surface dents. These minor imperfections remain discreet and do not detract from the overall appearance. -
