-
Description
1950s table lamp attributed to Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce. This extremely refined and sculptural design retains its wonderfully knackered original blue painted aluminum shade brass hardware and marble base. The cone shade rotates on a brass swivel for a variety of lighting configurations. Accommodates a single 60w max US candelabra bulb. Arteluce was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Celebrated in his time and beyond as an undisputed master, Gino Sarfatti's designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Professionally rewired for US with black cloth cord and period style wall plug, new candelabra socket accommodating a 40 watt max incandescent bulb (higher with LED). Some scuffs, losses, bends, dings and chips noted only for accuracy.
