Description
This Chandelier Reimagines Light as Sculpture, Blending the Purity of Minimalist Lines with the Warm Sensuality of Organic Modern Craftsmanship. It fits Seamlessly into a Mid-Century Modern or Contemporary Interior, yet its Character is Unmistakably its own.
The Design is distilled to just Two Materials—Solid Brass and Hand-Blown Glass—each Shaped by Italian Artisans using Traditional Techniques.
The Brass is Carefully Worked by Hand, Giving the Structure a Subtle Depth and Tactility.
The Glass Globes are Blown One by One in the Venice Area Without the Use of Molds, so Each Sphere is Round but Never Identical. This Gentle Irregularity Lends the Chandelier a Living Presence, Catching the Eye with its Softness and Individuality.
The Light is Hidden Inside the Brass Rod and then Emitted through Hand-Blown Glass Spheres.
It Reflects, Bounces, and Changes within Each Globe.—Each with its own Subtle Irregularities—creating a Unique Display of Reflections and a Warm, Constantly Shifting Glow.
The Structure Features a Rod Tapered at Both Ends Like a Spear, Flanked by Two Trapezoidal Brass Elements that Appear to Press Lightly the Globes, as if Shaping it with Muscle and Motion.
The Result is a Composition that feels Both Powerful and Weightless—Dynamic yet Poised, like a Spear (Dòry) Frozen at the Height of its Flight.
Finished, and Assembled in our Italian Studio, Dory stands as a Tribute to Modern Design at its Most Expressive: Simple in Form, Rich in Soul, and Crafted to Leave a Lasting Impression.
