Description
This refined Mid Century Modern ceramic handpainted table lamp was realized by the legendary Georges Pelletier in France circa 1960. It features a mottled off white cylindrical body with horizontal ecru banding. A stylized sun motif sits the center of the lamp body consisting of a face surrounded by cut out tear drop and incised dots that allow the illumination provided lamping within to elegantly diffuse throughout any interior. With its sophisticated, patently hand crafted aesthetic by one of the period's great artisans and clean modernist lines, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of French Mid Century Modern design, as well as those with a penchant for exquisite and special objects. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The lamp comes fitted with a custom shade.
