Description
An Italian oil on canvas still-life painting from the 19th century in carved giltwood frame, signed Florentine. Created in Italy during the 19th century, this still-life painting depicts mouth-watering grapes and peaches displayed in two wicker baskets, standing out beautifully on a neutral background. Contrasted to the metallic tones of a pewter pitcher, the fruits are absorbing all the light coming from the upper left. Signed Florentine lower right, the painting is set inside a carved giltwood frame with Rocailles style motifs. With its lovely proportions and skillful execution, this Italian 19th century still-life painting will enliven any wall, perhaps hung above a commode, side table or buffet.
