Description
A pair of French Louis XV style walnut bergères à oreilles from the 20th century, with carved floral décor, upholstery and cabriole legs. Created in France during the 20th century, this pair of wingback bergères, called bergères à oreilles in French, showcases the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XV era. Each chair features a wingback, designed to give more privacy to the sitter, carved with floral motifs on its upper rail. The arms are flanking a rectangular seat with central cushion. The chairs are indeed upholstered with a used floral themed fabric in fair condition. The ensemble is raised on four cabriole legs, connected to one another through an apron carved with delicate flowers in the front. With their graceful lines and skillfully carved décor, this pair of French Louis XV style walnut wingback bergère chairs from the 20th century will make for a wonderful addition to any home, placed in a living room or bedroom.
