French 18th Century Marquetry Commode

Description
A petite and impressive French marquetry commode from the 1700’s. The commodes top is in wonderful antique condition with marquetry designs trimmed with ebonized molding. There are three drawers all with patterned marquetry designs, gilt bronze handles and rounded ebonized escutcheon plates. All locks are in working order and share one key. The interior of the drawers are lined with a rich blue paper, a cheerful contrast to the tones of the exterior. The side panels have complimentary marquetry designs to the top and front. The whole ends with a scalloped apron and cabriole legs. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this commode is ready to be used in your interior.
