Description
A French Empire style painted wood marquise chair from the 19th century, with carved palmettes. Born in France during the politically dynamic 19th century, this French Empire style marquise features a rectangular upholstered back, accented with delicate palmette motifs. The seat is flanked with straight arms adorned with foliage, while the ensemble is raised on four legs, straight in the front and slightly out-curving in the back. Painted in a soft color, this French Empire style 19th century marquise chair presents larger dimensions than a regular bergère, making it a great choice to decorate any living room or bedroom. The dimensions of the seat are as followed: seat height: 15.5" x depth 19.5" x width 34.25".
