Description
This striking sideboard was designed by Alf Svensson in the 1960s. The elegant model 'Norrland' was produced by Bjästa Möbelfabrik in Sweden and is stamped with the manufacturers stamp on the back. The design is marked by the rectangular shape with a pair of doors panelled in woven rattan/cane. Brass key and key hole. The left interior with a shelf and the right interior with a pull out drawer. A very elegant example of one of the most iconic sideboard designs of the Swedish Modern period.
The cabinet is in very good, original condition with a beautiful, even and natural patina on the wood and rattan. Minor, non-disturbing signs of wear consistent with age and use, mostly on the lower parts of the legs. -
