Description
A late mid century Italian sideboard / credenza attributed to Mobil Girgi. A heavy and substantial wood piece featuring ample storage, including two lower cabinets, four center drawers and two top opening cupboards. Rich warm wood finish with butcher block style top. The upper cabinet separates from base for transport.
Mobil Girgi was an Italian furniture company founded in 1968, renowned for its innovative and high-quality designs. Specializing in modular and modern furniture, Mobil Girgi became known for its use of bold shapes and striking materials that reflected the Italian avant-garde design trends of the 1970s and 1980s. The company’s pieces often featured clean lines, unique combinations of wood and lacquer, and functionality-focused forms, catering to both residential and commercial spaces. Mobil Girgi collaborated with several acclaimed designers and, while it is no longer active today, its vintage pieces remain sought after by collectors. -
