Description
We can rightfully call this lamp an architectural tour de force. It consists of 7 separate parts that are characterized in geometry as polyhedron. That is a three-dimensional shape with flat polygonal surfaces and sharp edges and corners.
Design
The architect Felice Ragazzo developed the "Progetto Poliedra" which consisted of three components called octahedron, pentahedron and tetrahedron. These can not only be combined with each other in many ways, but are also very flexible in the usage application. For example, gigantic chandeliers are known because you can combine and vary endlessly with this shape. Although the lamp we show here is a floor lamp, it can just as well serve as a chandelier or sculptural table lamp. The material of the construction is chromed brass wire that can be easily connected with small clips to create the desired shape of the lamp. The light sources consist of silver-coloured light bulbs, each of which can be easily detached by pulling out the plug on the back. These lamps can then be positioned freely and can be easily clicked into place. All these lamps are connected with a coiled cord to an aluminum sphere that hangs beautifully in the middle of one of the polyhedra. There are crown stones modules in the sphere and can also be adjusted. For example, if you would like to remove a lamp from the setup.
Condition
The condition of this lamp is very good and there are few traces of use. For example minor spots of oxidation on the frame. -
