Description
This striking floor lamp was designed in Sweden in the 1950s.
The design features a three-legged base in black lacquered metal. Mounted on top of the base are two tubular arms, also in black lacquered steel. The differing heights and angled placement of the arms give the lamp a playful and modern appearance.
The tall, tapered shades have been renewed with a black and emerald green Malachite print paper designed by Piero Fornasetti. The intricate curves and ripples of semi-precious stones and fossils, frequently featured in Fornasetti's work, are synonymous with his artistic canon. The print creates a beautiful visual effect both when the lamp is lit and when it is off.
The lamp is in very good condition, with updated wiring and shades. It currently features a 220V European plug and a foot push switch for ease of use. -
