Designed by Guillerme et Chambron for Votre Maison in 20th-century France, this extendable dining table reflects the designers’ signature blend of bold construction and sculptural modernism. Robert Guillerme and Jacques Chambron were known for their highly expressive yet practical furniture, often built with oak and characterised by geometric rigour and artisanal integrity. Their designs balance traditional woodwork with a bold, forward-thinking aesthetic that helped define postwar French furniture design.

This dining table exemplifies the duo’s superb craftsmanship and refined taste for elegant proportions. The table is crafted from solid oak and showcases a geometric marquetry design, composed of angular veneer panels arranged in a subtle diamond motif. This geometric pattern adds quiet depth and visual interest without sacrificing the table’s clean-lined silhouette. The design of the tabletop highlights the oak wood, with its beautiful grain pattern and warm tone. The structure rests on four wooden legs angled inwards, connected by horizontal stretchers.
