-
Description
An elegant 18th-century Swedish slant front desk, circa 1780, featuring a classic Gustavian form and later painted surface. The exterior has been repainted in a soft grey tone, lending the piece a fresh yet timeless look that harmonizes with both traditional and modern interiors. The fall-front opens to reveal a beautifully fitted interior, now finished in a greish-grey hue, with multiple small drawers and compartments designed for organizing correspondence and personal treasures. Below, three full-length drawers provide ample storage, each retaining simple circular hardware and large key escutcheons. Resting on shaped bracket feet, the desk balances function and form with understated grace. Its quiet palette, architectural lines, and practical design make it a versatile and decorative addition to any interior.
