    Important and exquisitely refined rosewood mirrored vitrine cabinet by Herts Brothers, with beveled glass panels and a brass gallery and inlays of mother of pearl and copper, c.1880. This is an example of the high mark of American cabinetmaking of this period. Benjamin and Isaac Herts were celebrated cabinetmakers and decorators during the last quarter of the 19th century in New York City. Their work is in the collections of several American museums - an elaborately inlaid rosewood vitrine cabinet by Herts Brothers is at the High Museum, Atlanta.
