Description
Large dramatic abstract painting on panel by American artist Charles Dix, c. 1970's. In this body of work, Dix was inspired by the earth tones and gold of Asian lacquer, and in addition to brushwork he poured the glossy lacquer-like paint, tipping the board to create images of flowing movement and swirling energy. Singed lower left. Known provenance.
