Description
A Model 3920 floor lamp designed by Enrique Franch for the Spanish manufacturer Metalarte. The design features a tall chromed steel column rising from a circular black cast iron base. A hemispherical bordeaux lacquered metal shade is attached to a movable arm, allowing for both vertical height adjustment and lateral orientation. This specific model was selected for the ADI-FAD design awards in Barcelona in 1973.
Enrique Franch (Enrique Franch Miret) was a central figure in 20th-century Spanish industrial design. Based in Barcelona, he is best known for his long-term collaboration with Metalarte, where he helped define a modern aesthetic through technical precision and functional adjustability. -
