1950s Italian Brass, Green Lacquered Metal and Opaline Glass Chandelier

Italian chandelier from the 1950s defined by a refined and architectural composition combining brass, green lacquered metal, and opaline glass.

The structure develops vertically from a slender central stem in brass, connecting to a light, open framework composed of thin lacquered metal rods that converge into a circular element. From this central ring, five arms extend outward in a balanced radial arrangement, each supporting a light point.

Each arm is composed of a horizontal brass element paired with a vertical support, creating a clean geometric interplay of lines. The light sources are defined by softly rounded opaline glass shades, slightly elongated and gently tapered, resting on conical green lacquered metal bases that introduce a subtle yet distinctive color accent.

The combination of warm brass, pastel green lacquered metal, and milky white glass reflects the refined and decorative approach of Italian mid-century design. The composition is airy yet structured, with a strong sense of symmetry and rhythm.

The brass components display a natural, even patina with visible tonal variations consistent with age. The lacquered metal elements are well preserved, with minor signs of wear. The opaline glass shades are in very good condition, free from cracks or chips.
