de Sede
Swiss, 1965
Founded in 1965, de Sede has its origins in a saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland, and today is renowned for its strikingly modern and luxurious handcrafted leather furniture. Perhaps its most famous design, the modular format DS600 "Non Stop" sofa, is composed of individual pieces that zip together and can be shaped into a variety of configurations, and is an icon of 1970s design. Designers who have worked for de Sede include Santiago Calatrava, Gordon Guillaumier and Ubald Klug.
