Walter Von Nessen

Walter Von Nessen was a German-American industrial designer and architect who is best known for his contributions to the development of modernist design in the United States. He was born in 1889 in Hamburg, Germany, and died in 1943 in New York City.
 
Von Nessen trained as an architect in Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1914. He worked as an architect in New York City before turning to industrial design in the 1920s.
