Moser Art Deco Glass Bowl with Blue Glass-Powder Decoration, circa 1930

A Moser Art Deco glass bowl, circa 1930, formerly in the Meentwijck Collection.

The bowl combines a broad, gently flared rim with a lobed body raised on a circular foot. Intense blue glass-powder decoration contrasts with the pale, translucent glass, creating a flowing sequence of colour and light around the vessel. The shaped contours give the decoration a sculptural rhythm, revealing different details from each viewpoint.

At 32.5 cm in diameter, the bowl has a substantial presence as a table centrepiece or an independently displayed work of art glass. Its restrained outline allows the richly varied decoration to remain the focus.

Acquired by Laseur Antique from the Meentwijck Collection, this work comes from the same collection presented in Toegepaste kunst 1890–1940. Its collection history adds a meaningful context to an expressive example of Art Deco glass.

An appealing acquisition for collectors of Moser, Bohemian decorative glass and early twentieth-century design.
